Apprentice Program

apprentice cartoonFor seminar graduates, a new Apprentice Program modeled on mentoring apprenticeships of old is now being offered. Fay's Jedi Metal Shaping Program provides a unique opportunity to hone your skills in a 1, 2, 3, or 4-week program custom-designed to match your interest and previous experience. You will have the chance to work one-on-one with Fay on your own project, and you will be required to keep a daily journal of what you did that day. Additionally, you will will get to build your own air planishing hammer and dies, and you'll get to keep whatever you make. Weekly accomodations (room and board) are available.

A chance to learn and/or improve your skills in:

  • Elements of Style and Design
  • Drawing
  • Spatial Relationships
  • Materials: Characteristics, Selection, and Use
  • Metal Shaping
  • Welding
  • Lathe and Millwork
