Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 1½ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons real vanilla (not imitation)
  • 1 cup peanut butter (I use chunky)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2½ cups flour (I use King Arthur)
  • 1 pound large bittersweet chocolate chips (Ghiradelli)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.

Cream the butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and peanut butter and mix. Stir in the flour mixture, fold in chocolate chips.

Drop on prepared cookie sheet by the tablespoon full. Flatten top with a fork.

Bake for 15-17 minutes. Be careful to watch and not overbake.
